And then we went swimming

Well, more like wading, since we had forgotten our suits...





And then the clouds were upon us, so we ran for shelter! And just barely made it before the skies opened up and it poured buckets the rest of the day.

Fishing derby

The pond near the cabin hosted a kids' fishing derby last weekend, so P-roc got his first experience at competitive fishing! Well, "competitive". They made sure that all the kids got some kind of prize, and P won second place in his age division (5-10) for biggest fish (a 9-inch large mouth bass!).







Matt did most of the casting, but kiddo did all of the reeling in himself. All the fish were released back into the pond to try their luck at not getting caught next year...
