Vermont part deux

We stayed in a funny little motel/German hostel, Dalem's Chalet, which P-roch loved. Here's the view from our room.

I am moving to Vermont as soon as global warming fixes the whole painfully-cold-winter problem

We spent 5 days in Brattleboro, Vermont. It was fantabulous. It was their first warm weather of the season, and it was 80 degrees and sunny the whole time we were there. With big patches of slowly melting snow everywhere. We took the train there and back:

Then we rented a car and drove around all the little villages and cheese factories and second-hand bookstores and petting farms.

Giant bean

Anna gave me this grow-your-own-giant-bean-message kit for my birthday. P thought it was crazy looking. I can't say I blame him...

Mr. No Nap

Apparently, when Mr. P turned two, he grew out of his naps. Every day, we put him down for a nap after lunch, and every day, he chats to himself for an hour or more and doesn't fall asleep.

Until four hours later, when we're coming back from the playground after the fifteenth exhaustion-induced tantrum of the day.

Playgroup

Matt has a stay-at-home-dad playgroup once a week. All the kids are around the same age, 2 or almost 2. From left to right, they are: Sonia, Nevin, Kenya, P-rock and Lyudka. Notice the only one with the cheesy grin.
